🍢 Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
🛒 Ingredients
For the Satay

Chicken meat, cubed (about 500 g / 1 lb)

Skewers (soaked in water 20–30 min if wooden)
Marinade

3 cloves garlic, minced

2–3 tbsp sweet soy sauce

1 tbsp palm sugar (grated)

½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
1 tbsp cooking oil
Peanut Sauce
-
1 cup roasted peanuts
-
2 cloves garlic
-
1 chili (adjust to spice preference)

1–2 tbsp palm sugar
-
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
-
Water (to thin as needed)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken

Mix garlic, sweet soy sauce, palm sugar, salt, pepper, and oil.

Add chicken cubes and mix well.

Marinate at least 30 minutes (2–4 hours for deeper flavor).
2️⃣ Prepare the Peanut Sauce

Blend or crush peanuts until fine.

Add garlic, chili, palm sugar, and sweet soy sauce.

Add a little water and blend or cook gently in a pan until smooth and slightly thick.

Taste and adjust sweetness, saltiness, or spice.
Simmering for 5–10 minutes deepens the flavor.
3️⃣ Skewer & Grill

Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.

Grill over medium heat (charcoal is best 🔥) for about 3–4 minutes per side.

Baste with leftover marinade while grilling.
Cook until lightly charred and fully done.
